Today marks a significant milestone in my professional and personal journey – two decades since I took the bold step to hang out my shingle and work for myself. Like many, I’ve had my share of both triumphs and disasters during this time. Yet, through it all, my unwavering purpose has remained at the forefront: “to create opportunities for people to be extraordinary.”
Looking back on these 20 years, my heart is filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the countless opportunities that have come my way, for the invaluable lessons learned, and for the unwavering support I have received from family, friends, clients and suppliers.
The journey so far has been far from easy. There were many moments of doubt and countless times when the path ahead seemed uncertain. But it was during these challenging times that my resolve was tested and strengthened. I learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the power of a strong support network.
As I celebrate this 20-year milestone, I am also filled with excitement for the future. My “baby”, this venture that I poured my heart and soul into, is now entering its 21st year. It’s a time of maturity and continued growth. I am eager to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, to continue making a positive impact, and to empower even more people to reach their full potential.
The words of Rudyard Kipling resonate deeply with me as I reflect on this journey:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”
These words encapsulate the spirit of perseverance and determination that has guided me through the years. They remind me that even when faced with adversity, the human spirit can endure and achieve great things.
I am proud of the work I have done and the lives I have touched.
